TORONTO - The Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) is pleased to announce that nominations are open for the Daniel G. "The OHRC is delighted to honour the significant efforts of individuals throughout Ontario who uphold and champion human rights.” said Chief Commissioner Patricia DeGuire. “Their efforts help to cultivate an environment in Ontario that acknowledges the dignity and worth of every individual, where people can enjoy equal rights and opportunities without discrimination and harassment."

“I was honoured to have received the Daniel G. Hill Award for distinguished service in its inaugural year. Dr. Hill, a visionary champion of human rights in Ontario, left us a solid legacy that we must collectively carry on in these tough times. Recognizing human rights warriors is so important today in order to continue inspiring equality and justice," said Rabia Khedr, a past winner of the Daniel G. Hill Human Rights Award for Distinguished Service and a former Commissioner of the OHRC.
